Practical notes
- The accommodation tax (konaklama vergisi) is a percentage of the price excluding VAT of the overnight stay and of the other services sold together with it at the property (food, drinks, activities, entertainment, pool, spa and similar), so with board or all-inclusive the base is wider than the room alone.
- From 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2026 the rate is 1% (Presidential Decision 11263). Before that it was 2%, the rate in the law.
- If you booked a package, check with your tour operator or hotel whether the tax is already included.
Who collects it: The accommodation provider, on the invoice.
