France tourist tax 2026: rates for every town (taxe de séjour calculator)
In France each town (or group of towns) sets its own taxe de séjour per person per night, within a national scale. Search any of the 10,908 towns with 2026 rates in the official DGFiP file, or open one of the 150 towns with the most tourist accommodation places (INSEE 2026).

Not tax advice. Tourist taxes are set by local or national authorities and can change. They are usually collected by your hotel or host, who applies the official rules: check the final amount with your accommodation.
National scale 2026 (per person per night, before additional taxes)
Towns choose a rate between the legal minimum and maximum for each category; unclassified accommodation pays 1% to 5% of the price per person, capped. In Île-de-France a 200% additional tax for public transport and a 15% tax for the Grand Paris projects apply on top, plus 10% for the department; other departments and regions may add their own.

The 150 towns with the most tourist accommodation
Chosen with an official criterion: the towns with the most tourist accommodation places (hotel rooms, other tourist accommodation units and campsite pitches) in INSEE 2026 data, among those with 2026 rates in the DGFiP file.
Towns not in the list
Some large cities (for example Nice, Marseille and Toulouse) have no line with a 2026 effective date in the official DGFiP file: their rates were adopted in earlier years. We do not show those older rates; check with the town hall or tourist office.
