Valencia region tourist licence 2026: CV-VUT number and rules
To let a home to tourists in the Valencian Community you must declare it to the regional tourism administration and have it on the Registro de Turismo de la Comunitat Valenciana, with a favourable municipal planning report (Ley 15/2018, arts. 19 and 65, checked on 5 November 2026). Valencian law requires holiday homes to show their exact location and their Registro de Turismo number in all advertising (Ley 15/2018, art. 19.1 b). 90,020 homes are on the register today (Generalitat Valenciana open data, downloaded on 5 November 2026).

What the regional rules say
- Only whole homes can be let as viviendas de uso turístico, for stays of up to 10 days in a row with the same guest; letting rooms to tourists is prohibited (art. 65.1 and 65.3). (Boletín Oficial del Estado)
- The home needs a favourable municipal report on urban-planning compatibility for tourist use (informe municipal de compatibilidad urbanística) and, where required, the municipal permits for that use (art. 65.1). (Boletín Oficial del Estado)
- The cadastral reference of the home must appear in the declaration to the register and in the letting contracts (art. 65.1). (Boletín Oficial del Estado)
